HERCULES ERP is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application designed to meet the business requirements across various industry verticals. The application works on a thin client architecture and can be accessed from any geographical location via the Internet (lease line or broadband). HERCULES ERP is equipped with some default modules which can be deployed along with installation. This enables the client to start operating on the software very early in the implementation process and to understand its functionality. Additionally, these modules also help businesses manage day-to-day operations and provide structured data for analysis. Modules that are not included in the base pack are developed as per the client requirements. The default modules that can be deployed with installation are as follows:
Dashboard is a mini application in the software that processes large measures of data into graphical diagrams, charts and simplified reports. The application is very user friendly and can be customized on user basis. For example a Sales Manager can configure his dashboard to display the Net Sales for the Month, Customers Outstanding Statement, Sales Order Outstanding and Individual Performance of his team. The concept behind dashboard is to give instant access to every key figure of the business related to a user’s scope of work on a real-time basis thus, no more digging through multiple reports for information consolidation and analysis.

The Finance module of HERCULES ERP is more than just a powerful accounting tool. It helps businesses to understand what respective figures represent and simplifies decision making. It also allows them to spot trends and gain insight into the business activities. Most of the financial practices and procedures can be automated in a business including the statutory compliances. Every transaction appended or updated can be tracked through audit trail. There is drill down (zoom-in) function from reports to lookup information at transaction level. This can be done for departments and locations irrespective. The major components of this module include cash/bank related receipts and payments and provision to make adjustment entries through the Journal. Businesses can generate reports using filters such as Department, Ledger and Subledger.

Asset management can be complicated and very tiring especially with situations such as Asset Assembling prior to Installation, Revaluation of Asset (on prospective and retrospective methods), and Depreciation posting on a monthly or quarterly basis. HERCULES ERP is designed to manage every asset related operation with minimal effort and tremendous flexibility. Define Group, Subgroup for Asset and maintain Asset on Location and Department basis. Automatic depreciation computation allows generation of updated Balance Sheet with the exact asset values anytime – a real boon for monthly and quarterly filing of Balance Sheet.

The Sourcing and Payables module provides controls for the complete Procurement Process, from Vendor Quotes Tracking, Inspection, to Cost Accrual and Vendor Payment. Procurement of Raw Materials for Production and Sales is also streamlined through this module. Indent Requisition, Requisition Approval, and automated Order Processing on approval are some strong functions of Sourcing module. Functionality also includes report generation for Vendor Performance and Stock Status analysis based on Purchase Order status.

Some businesses therefore, offer stakes to its employees to increase employee’s dedication and sense of ownership. HERCULES ERP empowers users to store every inch of information related to an employee. The Employee Master contains information broadly classified into two main categories - Personal Info and Professional Info. Personal Info contains the general information about the employee such as Address details, Contact details, Date of Birth, Family Information, Educational Qualification, Experience details, etc.
The Professional Info contains information of his current employment. An employee is tagged against a location, a department, a Leave and a Pay Structure in the business and over a span of time receives performance reviews, promotions and appraisals. All this information is consolidated from various masters and entry modules to be reflected under the Professional Info section in the Employee Master. The system is also equipped to handle Time Attendance Machines, Labor Wage Calculation and Loans and Advances of the employees. Gratuity and Superannuation benefits are auto computed and every other statutory reports including ESI, Professional Tax and Provident Fund is generated from the system. Most importantly, there is no duplication of data entry and all information is online and real-time.
